The Sustainability Research Initiative (SRI) at the º£½ÇÉçÇø was established in 2025 to harness the collective expertise of the university's diverse academic community and address pressing sustainability issues in Colorado and across the nation. CU º£½ÇÉçÇø is uniquely positioned to be a sustainability research leader, with relevant expertise across many disciplines and a strong innovation pipeline.Ìý

In January 2026, the Sustainability Research Initiative is launching a research fellowship for CU º£½ÇÉçÇø researchers from across academic units and disciplinary backgrounds to build community, practice futuristic thinking and coalesce into transdisciplinary teams to push sustainability research forward.
