In January 2026, the Sustainability Research Initiative is launching a research fellowship for CU º£½ÇÉçÇø researchers from across academic units and disciplinary backgrounds to build community, practice futuristic thinking, and coalesce into transdisciplinary teams to push sustainability research forward.Ìý

We aim to create a space where serendipity can arise from uncommon intellectual collaboration that can lead to transformative sustainability scholarship and solutions. This year-long fellowship will serve as an intellectual incubator for up to 30 CU º£½ÇÉçÇø researchers and consist of a combination of:

  • Focused and facilitated work
  • Space for sustained conversations that can form the foundation for working groups and project proposals
  • An opportunity to co-organize workshops with SRI, based on emergent topics of interest
