The undergraduate degree in public health is designed to give students a comprehensive overview of concepts such as the basic principles of epidemiology, social and behavioral determinants of health, and the role of public health workers in society. This program is ideal for students interested in working for health care organizations, academic institutions, government agencies, nonprofits and advocacy organizations.

Academic Plan & Requirements

The BA in public health requires courses in a variety of disciplines, such as Foundations of Public Health, Introduction to Global Public Health, Introduction to Epidemiology, and courses in basic biology, statistics and bioethics.

The program requires students to either engage in public health research or do an internship related to public health as part of their capstone.
