I&S Employee Newsletter - July 2017

Dear Infrastructure and Safety Colleagues,
Welcome to the first edition of the employee newsletter for the Vice Chancellor’s Office of Infrastructure and Safety. With a plan for monthly distribution, this newsletter is geared toward accomplishing multiple objectives.
The first is to build camaraderie across all I&S divisions: Police; Environmental Health and Safety; Facilities Operations and Services; Planning, Design and Construction; and Real Estate Services. Our missions are intertwined, and the hope is that by reading news updates and employee spotlights from outside our own areas we’ll all gain a greater understanding and appreciation for the efforts everyone puts forth to serve the university.
Another goal of the newsletter is to serve as a conduit for useful information on things like employee training opportunities, payroll and benefits changes and other items that will affect us all. An intended side benefit of consolidating much of this information into one monthly publication is to reduce the overall amount of email our employees are receiving.
As the newsletter progresses, you’ll find various features, such as letters from administrators, department news, updates on major projects, and employee spotlights and awards. The newsletter will also serve as a portal to our newly launched where department news and resources will be posted throughout each month.
If you have news items you wouldÌýlike highlighted across the department please submit them for inclusion on the I&S website and in the newsletter. Ideas and submissions can be sent to Communications Coordinator Joshua Lindenstein at joshua.lindenstein@colorado.edu.
