Graduation deadlines for spring 2023

Master's students, especially Bachelor's-Accelerated Master's and dual degree students,听should submit a听 to the Graduate School. Applications follow a workflow process and must be approved by the academic department before they are directed to the Graduate School.

March 1, 2023
Graduate students听must听apply online to graduate听through听听on the 鈥渁pply for graduation鈥 card in order to have the degree awarded in May.听This is required whether you plan to attend the university-wide ceremony or not.听PhD students must enter their dissertation title as part of the online graduation application, and the title may be updated until this deadline.听This title will appear听on your transcript after your degree is awarded.
March 1, 2023 (Final deadline)
鈥婱aster's students must submit a听听to the Graduate School if they have not already done so. Applications follow a workflow process and must be approved by the academic department before they are directed to the Graduate School.

April 11, 2023
Doctoral听students must complete the PhD dissertation defense or final examination by this date.听Notice of the examination must be provided to the Graduate School using the听doctoral final examination form听two weeks before the exam.
April 18, 2023
PhD students must听submit the dissertation听with Thesis Approval Form to ProQuest by this deadline. The dissertation must be听听for review and approval by Graduate School staff by the end of the business day. The听Thesis Approval Form听(TAF) must be uploaded as a supplemental file with the dissertation in order for the submission to be complete.听Students whose dissertations听are received after this deadline, or those not submitted with the TAF,听must apply to graduate at the following semester's听commencement.
April 18, 2023
PhD and DMA students must fill out the听听by this deadline. Additional information about the survey is available on the .

Master's students must complete the thesis defense or final examination by this date.听Notice of the examination must be provided to the Graduate School using the听master's final examination form听two weeks before the exam.听Certain units do not require an exam for non-thesis students.听Please contact your department with any questions.

Doctoral grade changes must be听submitted for incomplete courses taken during previous or current semesters.
April 25, 2023
Master's thesis plan students must听submit the thesis听and Thesis Approval Form to ProQuest by this deadline.
